Aditya Dharis “Dhurandhar” in the lead role Ranveer Singh, Akshay KhannaSanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan hit theaters on December 5 and posted that they had seen the release of James Cameronis “Avatar Fire And Ash”. However, surprisingly, ‘Dhurandhar’ remained unaffected and continued its success at the box office and has now crossed the Rs 600 crore mark at the domestic box office. Dhurandhar film reviewIn the meantime, Kartik Aaryan, Anthony“Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri” hit theaters today, December 25th. This romantic comedy is getting good reviews early on but with two big films like ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Avatar Fire And Ash’ dominating the box office, the film managed to secure a relatively low number of releases, especially in major urban markets. Advance sales for the film were also weak, indicating limited audience appeal. Given that ‘TMMTMTTM’ is positioned as an urban film, strong support from multiplex theaters was expected to propel its opening. Instead, inadequate allocation in prime theaters has left the film in a tough spot ahead of its December 25 release. Even though the number of shows on offer is limited, pre-sales have been lackluster as the total number of pre-orders has yet to cross the ₹1 crore mark a day before the release. If there is good word of mouth for the film, it could be given more screens, but for now it is a slow start. According to Sacnilk, ‘TMMTMTTM’ is expected to start at around Rs 5 crore net, an amount that falls short of expectations. On this day, ‘TMMTMTTM’ has earned Rs 2.29 crore so far till afternoon. Meanwhile, ‘Dhurandhar’ has already earned Rs 10.78 lakh on the 21st day till the same time. The total collection of ‘Dhurandhar’ now stands at Rs 618.28 crore. The film is sure to witness growth in sales due to the Christmas holidays and the upward trend could continue till December 31st as well.
