US President Donald Trump insisted he was healthy after bruises were discovered on his hands during a recent public appearance. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal published Thursday, he blamed aspirin for the hand bruises and denied falling asleep during meetings. He also corrected his earlier statement that he underwent an MRI scan in October and clarified that it was actually a CT scan.At 79, Trump remains determined to maintain his image of vitality despite growing health concerns during his second term. He insists his health is perfect, although visible signs such as injured hands, often hidden with makeup or bandages, and swollen ankles have drawn public interest.

Trump explained that the bruises on his hand were caused by his daily use of aspirin, which he takes to prevent blood clots. “They say aspirin is good for thinning the blood, and I don’t want thick blood flowing through my heart,” Trump said, talking about why he’s taking a larger dose. “I want nice, thin blood to flow through my heart. Does that make sense?” he further added.he told WSJ. He went on to talk about a specific incident in which his attorney general, Pam Bondi, accidentally hit his hand with her ring during a high-five.Trump’s medical screenings were a topic of discussion afterward, particularly after some of his public statements on the topic of screenings. While he initially told reporters about an MRI scan with extraordinary results, he later told the Journal that it was “less than that.” It was a scan. His doctor, Sean Barbabella, confirmed it was a CT scan to check for cardiovascular problems.Trump firmly contradicted the accusations of falling asleep at public events. “I never slept much,” he said. He said that what looks like falling asleep is actually moments of relaxation. “I just close. It’s very relaxing for me,” he said, adding that photographers sometimes catch him blinking.Trump’s health has become a particularly sensitive political issue, especially since he often criticized his Democratic predecessor Joe Biden as “sleepy.” Biden left office at the age of 82, making him the oldest president in history – a record that Trump will break in his current term. Despite questions about his health, Trump remains an active public presence through social media, press interactions and golf outings.
