FASTag‘s annual pass could help!Launched by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), the FASTag annual pass enables smooth travel on national highways and expressways across the country.The pass can be easily gifted through the Rajmargyatra app. By selecting the “Add Pass” option, users can enter the recipient’s vehicle number and contact details. A quick OTP verification will activate the pass on the FASTag linked to that vehicle. The pass is valid at around 1,150 toll plazas and offers motorists a cost-effective and convenient way to travel, said a statement from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
With a one-time fee of Rs 3,000, the annual pass covers either 200 toll crossings or a year, whichever comes first, eliminating the need for frequent FASTag recharges. It is available for all non-commercial vehicles with a valid FASTag and will be activated within two hours of payment through the app.Since its launch on August 15, the FASTag annual pass has already been accepted by over 25 lakh users and generated around 5.67 crore transactions in just two months.
