The extraordinary box office success of Bollywood blockbuster ‘Dhurandhar’ doesn’t seem to be slowing down. The Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna starrer has stormed into the third week after delivering a record-breaking performance in the second week. The film continues to exceed its opening weekend numbers, indicating continued audience interest and strong word of mouth.

According to initial estimates from Sacnilk, ‘Dhurandhar’ earned an impressive Rs 33.50 crore nett from 5,398 shows across multiple regions on Saturday. According to the report, the film recorded good growth after opening its third week at the box office on Friday, collecting Rs 22.5 million at the box office.

The film closed its first week with an impressive net collection of Rs 207.25 crore and surpassed this figure in its second week with an estimated Rs 253.25 crore. This took the two-week total to about Rs 460.5 crore. With its strong performance in the third week, the film’s total net collections have now crossed the Rs 516.5 crore mark, cementing its blockbuster status.
Dhurandhar is the second fastest film to reach the 500 crore mark
With this success, ‘Dhurandhar’ has become the second fastest Hindi film to cross the net milestone of Rs 500 crore. The record is currently held by the Allu Arjun-directed Telugu blockbuster Pushpa 2 – The Rule, which achieved this feat in just 11 days. However, ‘Dhurandhar’ beat Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’, which was previously the fastest film, taking just 18 days to reach the mark. It also beat this year’s blockbuster ‘Chhaava’, which hit the mark in 23 days.

Dhurandhar is also Ranveer Singh’s highest-grossing film to date and his first to enter the ₹500-crore club, surpassing his previous blockbusters by a wide margin.

Overall, India’s gross domestic product has now crossed Rs 700 crore, with total domestic gross revenue estimated at around Rs 780 crore. The film’s meteoric rise was fueled by strong performances, an intense narrative and extraordinary everyday experiences, resulting in repeat viewings nationwide.
‘Dhurandhar’ joins the Rs 1000 crore club
‘Dhurandhar’ continues to register solid box office returns at the international box office with its overseas box office collection currently estimated at around Rs 160 crore. As a result, the film’s total worldwide revenue has increased to around Rs 940 crore. Given the current trend, industry experts believe that it is just a matter of time before ‘Dhurandhar’ enters the coveted global Rs 1,000-crore club.
