NEW DELHI: Israeli Ambassador to India Reuven Azar joined the President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra ModiMinister of Defense Rajnath SinghCDS General Anil Chauhan and several other political and military leaders who praised the valor of the Indian Army and appreciated their bravery on Army Day.The 78th Army Day parade was organized in Jaipur. This was the fourth time the event was held outside Delhi in order to decentralize the program and take the parade to every part of the country. It was the first time that the parade was held in an area outside the cantonment.President Murmu, also Commander of the Indian Armed Forces, noted that the Army has always upheld the highest traditions of professionalism, commitment and courage, be it in protecting the country’s borders or saving lives during natural disasters. She also praised the Army for its remarkable success Operation Sindoor.Modi praised the courage and resolute commitment of the Indian Army. “Our soldiers stand as a symbol of selfless service, protecting the nation with unwavering determination, sometimes in the most difficult conditions. Their sense of duty inspires trust and gratitude throughout the country,” he said on X. He also said that the country remembers with deep respect those who gave their lives in service.Rajnath appreciated the courage, sacrifice and unwavering commitment of the armed forces to protect the sovereignty and integrity of the country. Speaking on the occasion in Jaipur, Rajnath said, “Operation Sindoor proved to be a balanced military response amidst prevailing uncertainties across the world and will go down in history as a symbol of India’s courage, strength, restraint and national character,” he said.CDS Chauhan and Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi also extended greetings to all ranks, families, veterans and Veer-Naris and recalled the role of the organization in Operation Sindoor.NEW DELHIWhile praising the army, Reuven Azar reiterated the cooperation between India and Israel. Regarding X, he said that the partnership between the two countries focuses on counter-terrorism, technology and innovation. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi also paid their respects to the soldiers.Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi said in Jaipur: “The Indian Army is emerging as a future-ready force with well-trained soldiers, modern equipment and operational capabilities in multiple domains.” Technology is used to make the soldier even more capable.” He also underscored the need for indigenous equipment, calling it a “strategic necessity.” He said that there has been a significant change in the thinking of the Indian Army in the last few years.According to the army chief, Operation Sindoor has created a “new normal”. “It demonstrated the Indian Army’s ability to respond quickly, in a coordinated and precise manner. The operation reflected a mature and confident force capable of protecting national interests through measured, decisive and responsible action,” he said.A wide range of high-tech weapons, kamikaze drones, newly raised battalions like the Bhairav Battalion and advanced missile defense systems deployed in Op Sindoor made their debut at this year’s parade. Artillery and missile capabilities were also on display, including several missile and launch systems including BrahMos, Pinaka, BM-21 Grad, Smerch and the indigenous Akashteer.General Dwivedi also said the Indian Army is continuously improving its capabilities and training “super specialists” to prepare for future warfare.
