US President Donald Trump issued a strong warning against those seeking to “threaten or attack America” as nations launched Operation Hawkeye Strike against ISIS targets in Syria. The move came after two American soldiers were killed in the Syrian desert“Due to the brutal killing of brave American patriots by ISIS in Syria, whose beautiful souls I welcomed to American soil in a very dignified ceremony earlier this week, I hereby announce that, just as I promised, the United States will carry out very severe retaliation against the murderous terrorists responsible,” he said.“We are taking tough action against ISIS strongholds in Syria, a blood-soaked place with many problems but one that has a bright future if ISIS can be eradicated.” The Syrian government is led by a man who is working very hard to make Syria great again and who fully supports the country. “Any terrorists evil enough to attack Americans are hereby warned: YOU WILL BE hit harder than ever before if you attack or threaten the United States in any way,” he added. Syrian state television said the attacks hit locations in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa provinces, as well as the Jabal al-Amour area near Palmyra, AP reported. According to the report, the attacks targeted weapons depots and command centers used by the Islamic State group to plan and conduct operations in the region. The U.S. Army identified the two National Guard members killed in Syria on Saturday as Sgt Edgar Brian Torres-Tovar, 25, of Des Moines, and Sgt William Nathaniel Howard, 29, of Marshalltown. Also killed was Ayad Mansoor Sakat of Macomb, Michigan, a U.S. civilian who served as an interpreter. The shooting, which took place nearly a week earlier near the historic city of Palmyra, left three other US soldiers and several Syrian security forces injured, while the attacker was fatally shot.
